Captain Tsubasa (1983-1986)

Hikaye modern Japonya'da geçer. İlk bölüm Tsubasa Ozara'nın annesiyle beraber Nankatsu Şehrine taşınmasıyla başlar. Serinin ana karakteri olan Tsubasa büyük bir futbolcu olmayı hayal eden yetenekli bir çocuktur. Bütün seri Tsubasa'nın değişik turnuvalarda oynadığı maçlar üzerine kurulmuştur.

İlk Captain Tsubasadır arkadaşlar bu. Bir dönem Türkiyede de gösterilen seri budur.

Shin Captain Tsubasa(1989-1990)

İlk serinin ortalarında kalmış bir maça odaklanan bu seri 13 bölümlük OVA dan oluşmaktadır. Bunun dışında herhangi bir esprisi olmayan bir seridir.

Captain Tsubasa J(1994-1995)

47 Bölümden oluşan bu seri Captain Tsubasa ilk seri ve Captain Tsubasa Road to 2002 arasında bir geçiş niteliğinde olmaktadır.
